Don't Defrag Your SSD
The claim: You shouldn't defrag your SSD because it will shorten the drive's life.
The reality: Defragging your SSD will indeed shorten its life because these drives have a finite number of writes. When defragmenting a drive, files are moved to areas of the SSD and that creates unnecessary writes.
